Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency in presentation and taste.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals for catering events or restaurant service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
  • Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, and mixers.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a culinary or catering environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A team player with good communication skills who can work collaboratively with others.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Must have a Real ID and be able to pass a background check which is required to serve our U.S. military inside of military installations.
  • Drug testing required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers and/or Food Handlers Manager Card.
