Using an insertion order (IO)
How it works
- When an invoice is overdue, a Pay button will appear.
- You can pay online with a credit card, online banking, or other electronic methods.
- IOs are an alternative to manual methods like cheques or bank transfers.
- After a successful payment, it may take up to 10 days for the invoice to disappear from Payments due.
Who is eligible?
- Some employers can pay using insertion orders (IOs), but not all accounts are automatically set up for this.
- Contact your Sales or Customer Success representative to find out if your account can use IO payments.
- If approved, you'll receive instructions on how to set up and use IO payments for your invoices.
How to request an insertion order
- Contact your Sales or Customer Success representative.
- Be ready to provide:
- Business details
- Expected spend
- Payment history (if requested)
- Wait for the internal review and confirmation of eligibility.

FAQs
Question: I'm having trouble updating my billing information. Can I email the details to you?
Answer: No. For security reasons, Indeed can't accept credit card information via email. Update all details directly in the employer dashboard.
Question: I'm redirected to my bank or credit card company to confirm the payment. Is this normal?
Answer: Yes. This is called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). SCA is a two-factor process that secures online payments. You'll have to sign in to your credit card account and approve the transaction there.
