Department / Reports To

Department: Logistics / Field Operations

Reports To: Site Superintendent or Logistics Coordinator

Location & Travel

Construction sites, distribution centers, and regional vendors

Travel: Regular regional driving required

Pay based on experience.

Role Overview

The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport of materials, equipment, and supplies between sites and facilities. This role requires knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle safety, and professional driving practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport materials and equipment between job sites, vendors, and facilities
  • Conduct daily inspections of truck and trailer systems for safety and performance
  • Maintain driving logs if travel exceeds a 100-mile radius from the home base
  • Ensure delivery instructions and manifests are accurate and complete
  • Comply with DOT and internal regulations for safe driving and operations
  • Operate heavy equipment during loading/unloading when needed
  • Report defects, violations, or accidents to the appropriate supervisor
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven experience as a professional truck driver
  • Ability to drive for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours) as needed
  • Familiarity with applicable truck driving rules and safety regulations
  • No recent driving violations
  • OSHA 10 certification minimum
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment on and off trailers
  • General knowledge of construction materials
  • Valid NYS Commercial Driver License (Class A or B)
  • Valid & clean NYS Driver License
  • Must be able to pass a drug test

· Must have current DOT physical
