Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class A Truck Driver to join our transportation team! You will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload freight efficiently using proper techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and security
  • Transport a variety of freight types, including: trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, deliveries, and vehicle condition in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Follow route schedules diligently while managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines

Experience

  • Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license
  • Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
  • Prior experience driving dump trucks and gravel-trains is highly desirable
  • Delivery driver experience with a focus on freight handling and load & unload procedures
  • Knowledge of truck safety protocols, DOT regulations, and vehicle maintenance standards
  • Additional skills such as forklift operation or familiarity with heavy equipment are considered a plus
