Diesel Mechanic -CAT Engine Specialist

Overview:
Dale Trucking is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic with strong expertise in CAT (Catipillar) engines to manage the maintenance and repair of our current fleet. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment road-ready, safe, and running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on CAT engines in semi trucks
• Oversee ongoing maintenance for a fleet of 5 trucks and approximately 15 trailers
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Repair and service customer and subcontractor trucks and trailers as needed
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend repair solutions
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working with CAT engines (required)
• Proven background as a diesel mechanic for semi trucks and trailers
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience servicing customer- or subcontractor-owned equipment is a plus
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
