Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Compensation: Varies by lane – gross $3,500–$7,000/week

Experience: 1 year preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Operate a box truck or van to transport goods to various locations.
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations.
• Ensure the safe handling of merchandise during transit and delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and address their needs.
• Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Proficient in operating box trucks, vans, and related vehicles.
• Experience with route driving to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Knowledge of using forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and documentation
