Enjoyed students. Underpaid

Decades ago I got the same salary that instructors receive today. Do the math. The university depends on captive population of over educated soouses and partners. We had little to no voice in the department despite working with the greatest volume of students.

Great to work as a teacher and educator of the future generation

Teaching at Penn State Altoona has been a dream come true for me. As an alum, it's so surreal to be standing where my mentors taught me 15 years ago. I was a graduate student and temporary instructor

I taught a course at Penn State during the summer. It was hectic, involved 1.25 hours or classroom time per day, five days a week, and necessitated more or less continual preparation for the remainder of the time.
