The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the HVAC & Plumbing company's operational functions, including installation, repair, and maintenance services. This role ensures that all projects and service operations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager also plays a key role in managing the team, maintaining client relationships, and optimizing internal processes for maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the HVAC & Plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair teams.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise, mentor, and manage field technicians, project managers, and office staff.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for the operations team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Resolve personnel issues and maintain team morale.
• Client and Vendor Management:
• Maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring clear communication and project updates.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and service issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Oversee vendor relationships, managing equipment purchases, maintenance contracts, and materials procurement.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for both clients and vendors.
• Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
• Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring that projects remain cost-effective.
• Collaborate with the finance team to track revenue, expenditures, and profitability.
• Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency.
• Process Improvement:
• Develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and optimizing resources.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met.
• Use data analytics to inform decision-making and operational adjustments.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all OSHA safety standards and HVAC & Plumbing industry regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
• Maintain documentation for compliance, including permits, licenses, and safety records.
• Technology and Innovation:
• Oversee the implementation of new technology solutions, including HVAC & Plumbing software for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC & Plumbing industry trends and innovations to ensure the company remains competitive.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of operations management experience, preferably in the HVAC & Plumbing or construction industries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in HVAC & Plumbing or trades management will also be considered.
• Licenses/Certifications: HVAC & Plumbing certification or equivalent industry certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC & Plumbing management software, project management tools, and basic accounting principles.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and achieve business objectives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing teams, clients, and vendors.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
