Variety of work

You have to learn how to do a variety of tasks from skilled trades to law enforcement/emergency response/customer service Many of the positions have seasonal layoffs for a couple months so you can collect unemployment during that time but you do loose your benefits.

Hard to advance unless you move mulitple times for seasonal work

There are not a lot of full time, year around jobs as a park ranger with the state of MI. You must transfer from park to park as positions with more time come available. This makes it hard to set down roots or have a stable family life. Many rangers just end up accepting that they will always have...Show more
