Missed shifts, unread messages, compliance headaches — managing the deskless workforce has never been simple. From warehouse staff to nurses, servers to cleaners, these employees make up the majority of today’s workforce, yet the digital staffing management systems that support them remain fragmented.
“They are mobile, frontline and essential, yet often underserved by the digital tools and strategies built for office workers,” said Novo Constare, Indeed Vice President and General Manager of Staffing Solutions.
But what if your systems could be as agile as your workforce? At Indeed FutureWorks 2025 in New Orleans, Constare introduced a new solution to bring order to this complexity: Indeed Teams, a one-stop platform for workforce management launching in 2026. Here’s a sneak peek.

"We’re investing in automation, mobile platforms and unified dashboards that give managers back their time — and give frontline employees the clarity they’ve been missing,” Constare announced to the crowd."

Fueled by AI, Indeed Teams will centralize all workforce operations in a single intelligent hub, replacing fragmented tools and processes with a seamless, connected experience. Leaders will gain real-time visibility into staffing, scheduling and vendor management, empowering them to make more confident, data-driven decisions. Meanwhile, with the Indeed Teams mobile app, on-the-go workers can pick up shifts, manage schedules, renew training, view pay and stay connected with their manager — all in one place.
“Indeed Teams will empower everyone, everywhere, to work smarter,” Constare said.
At the heart of Indeed Teams is Alma, an AI-powered assistant that Constare compared to Indeed’s new intelligent hiring platform, Indeed Talent Scout, which Indeed Chief Revenue Officer Maggie Hulce introduced the day prior: “What [Talent] Scout is to hiring, Alma will be to workforce management,” he explained. Alma will enable managers to simply chat in natural language to fill urgent staffing gaps, adjust schedules and get proactive recommendations — freeing them from manual, repetitive tasks and elevating their role to strategic decision-makers.
What it looks like: Say, for example, three nurses call out unexpectedly for a night shift. Alma immediately detects the hospital’s coverage gap and recommends posting the open shifts to the contingent labor marketplace with a 15% pay rate increase to attract qualified RNs. Alma filters candidates, checking compliance requirements such as up-to-date licensure and background checks. Within minutes, the manager receives a shortlist of pre-vetted nurses ready to work, with projected overtime costs and fill-rate probabilities clearly displayed. The manager approves with a single click, and Alma handles notifications and onboarding.
Novo Constare, Indeed VP and GM of Staffing Solutions, pulls back the curtain on Indeed Teams — an AI-enabled platform launching in 2026 that will help employers unify their workforce management and forecast staffing needs — so they can stop reacting and start leading with confidence.
What It Does: Integrates Temporary and Permanent Hiring
Indeed Teams won’t just manage your current workforce — it will proactively address both short-term and long-term talent needs.
For temporary staffing, Alma will connect you to Indeed Flex — a fast-growing community marketplace of over 240,000 quality, vetted workers — and provide access to hundreds of staffing agency partners for national reach.
But, “Alma won’t just make recommendations — it activates action,” Constare said. When Alma identifies a long-term need, it taps into Indeed’s global talent pool, leveraging advanced AI screening and interviewing tools. It offers a shortlist of pre-qualified candidates for permanent roles, often before you even post the job.
What it looks like: A large hotel chain is experiencing ongoing turnover among housekeeping staff at its Miami location. Alma’s analysis identifies a persistent, long-term gap in the team, noting that temporary fixes haven’t resolved the issue. Using Indeed’s talent pool and AI screening, Alma surfaces five candidates for permanent roles, each with verified work history and references. The manager reviews the shortlist, schedules interviews directly through the platform and fills the permanent positions before the next busy season, improving team stability.
Why It Matters: Strategic Insights and Proactive Planning
“But it won’t stop there,” Constare continued. Alma will learn how your business really works, understanding your team’s skills, certifications, schedules and staffing patterns.
The assistant will anticipate peak periods, draft surge rosters and provide data-backed recommendations to meet specific performance goals, all while ensuring compliance and budget alignment. “That’s the breakthrough we’re going for: moving from reactive hiring to predictive workforce planning is truly game-changing,” Constare told the crowd.
What it looks like: A distribution center is gearing up for the holiday rush. Alma forecasts a 40% spike in order volume based on historical trends and current sales data. It recommends a surge roster: adding three order pickers and two forklift drivers for the next four weeks, sourced from both the permanent roster and the contingent labor pool. Alma provides a detailed cost projection and confirms that the plan aligns with compliance and budget policies. The manager simply reviews and approves the drafted schedule.
Where It’s Going: The Next-Gen AI Workforce Ecosystem
As workforce challenges evolve, Indeed Teams will serve as your strategic staffing partner, positioning your business to thrive with personalized AI support, end-to-end hiring solutions and actionable insights.
“We’re investing in automation, mobile platforms and unified dashboards that give managers back their time — and give frontline employees the clarity they’ve been missing,” Constare announced.
The vision behind Indeed Teams is clear: to transform the frontline manager into the hub of organizational intelligence, moving past the bottlenecks and addressing staffing gaps before you even know they’re there.
