Started working for Target many years ago and it is no where near the same as it use to be. Change is definitely necessary to stay competitive, but the way it's happening physically, emotionally and mentally taxing on the team. There is more responsibility and work expected from all team members, but less overall hours are given to stores for the work to be completed. Unrealistic expectations set for select teams within the stores making for a high-stress environment. Yes, the starting pay is well above the minimum wage and competitive amongst other retailers, but expectations are set extremely high and are often unreachable. I tend to leave regularly feeling unaccomplished.
