How to activate the ATS Sync For Oracle Recruiting integration

When you’re ready to get synced, contact both an Oracle administrator and an Indeed account administrator. These individuals are required to take care of the installation process. 

The Oracle administrator makes sure your Oracle Recruiting Cloud system is version 25A or later or applies the required patch if needed. They also configure Oracle’s backend so that it can connect with Indeed. From start to finish, this process takes about two to three hours.

The Indeed account administrator initiates the integration through the Integrations Hub in your Employer Dashboard. They will send a configuration request to the Oracle administrator to make sure everything is connected properly. This process usually only takes about 10–20 minutes.

If you aren’t an administrator, here’s how to connect with your Indeed account administrator and start the installation process:

1. Sign up or log in to your Indeed account.

2. Go to the Integrations Hub in your Employer Dashboard (click the Account dropdown in the upper right-hand corner and choose Integrations).

3. In the search bar, type “Oracle” and click the Oracle tile.

4. Click Request integration.

5. From here, you will see an email template you can customize and send to your account admin. Once you’ve entered their information and your message, click Send request.

Once both administrators have finished their tasks, Indeed will typically take a few business days to process the integration request. 

Finish setup and manage the integration

After the installation is successful, you can finish setup and manage the integration through your Indeed or Oracle dashboard. Below are some steps you might take to finish the process and manage the way these two platforms work together:

• Go to the Integrations Hub in your Employer Dashboard and adjust the settings to control how jobs and candidate data flow between Oracle and Indeed.
• Post a new job in Oracle and check if it appears on Indeed within the expected sync time (around two hours).
• Submit a test application on Indeed to verify that candidate information, including screener and EEO question responses, flows back into Oracle correctly.
• In Oracle, check that all synced jobs are correctly labeled as sourced from Indeed.
• Look for new candidate profiles in Oracle that match applications submitted through Indeed.

You’ll know everything is working when:

• Jobs posted on Oracle appear on Indeed within a few hours
• Applications submitted through Indeed and any associated question responses appear in Oracle under the correct job posting.
• Candidates marked as “prospects” for incomplete applications match the information from Indeed.

This delay eliminates any downtime as we move jobs to the new integration.

What happens if my Oracle job post has multiple locations?

Currently, only the primary location of a job is supported. If a job has multiple locations in Oracle, Indeed will display just the primary one. Multiple location support is planned for the future.

What happens if my Oracle job post has multiple languages?

If your post is available in multiple languages, Indeed will create a separate job post for each. Some regions require job descriptions and titles in the local language for compliance, so it’s always a good idea to double-check that all the relevant information is available in each language.
