Realtor education and training requirements
It is important that you include this category in your job description to ensure you have a knowledgeable and trained candidate. While Realtors do not require a specific degree, they need to take several real estate classes and pass licensing examinations. Particularly, Realtors need to be members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The specific requirements for a Realtor vary from state to state. In some cases where a Realtor has a college degree in real estate, additional classes are unnecessary and can move directly to license examinations.
Realtor experience requirements
An experienced Realtor should have proven capabilities of excelling at the job. A candidate should have experience working as a Realtor or in a similar role, like a Real Estate Agent. They should also have an established record of closing deals. Experience in sales is also a plus for a Realtor.
