    26. Coordinate with the Facilities Coordinator the repair and maintenance of varsity athletic field, track, baseball field, and gymnasiums, including physical education facilities.
    27. Manage athletic facilities and control their use by band, track squad, etc.
    28. Assume responsibility for assignment of keys to athletic facilities and gymnasiums, including physical education facilities.
    29. Represent the school in all athletic business at Conference, State, and National meetings.
    30. Design a reasonable and equitable program for the utilization of the concession stands.
    31. Schedule physical examinations in accordance with the requirements of the North Carolina High

    School Athletic Association.
    32. Attend and serve as school liaison at all Athletic Booster Club meetings.
    33. Liaises between the coaches and the Athletic Booster Club.
    34. The sales of any athletic supplies to qualified athletes through the athletic office.
    35. Maintain an active program that promotes sportsmanship and welcomes the competing teams and guests.
    36. Annual review of the Athletic Policy and Staff Handbook.
    37. Constantly evaluate the program, always seeking ways of improving interscholastic athletics
    38. Supervise and direct 20-30 Head and Assistant Coaches
    39. Adhere to the expectations set forth in the Mission Statement of Lincoln Charter School

    Athletic Director Education and Training Requirements

    High schools and middle schools usually look for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in education or physical education, but colleges may prefer a master’s degree in sports management or a related area.
