WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (Description):
In this position, you will serve as a Co-Lead Camp Counselor for our Fun Days Track Out camp serving school ages participants in a recreational setting. Track Out Camp runs Monday Friday from 9am 2pm for 7 non-consecutive weeks during the fall and spring. You will be responsible for greeting parents and campers, providing excellent customer service, oversee and actively participate with groups during passive/active games, arts and crafts, clinics, science and nature, and more.

Job Purpose- Camp Counselor - Hang Out Days

Samara is looking for a responsible camp counselor (Lead counselor and support staff) to supervise and guide activities in Samara's M-F daily Hang Out Days (HOD), extended care for kids attending our other programs, or for kids coming to a single-day of fun hang-out camp day in itself. Usually, the Hang Out Day Camp Counselor (HOD Counselor) would be responsible for no more than 6 kids at a time from 6-14 year olds.

The HOD Counselor would provide a safe, positive, and supportive environment for campers to have fun social experiences. The job requires leading activities such as arts and crafts and encouraging children to come up with ideas that support their interests.

The HOD Counselor will need to follow our Covid Pandemic guidelines. Due to some of our campers and staff's lower immunity and the rise in new Covid strains, the guidelines include the requirement of wearing masks when inside even if one has their vaccinations.
