Summary:

Environmental Conditions:The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.

Knowledge & Competencies (Skills & Abilities):

• High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience. In addition, must satisfactorily complete associated training programs. Additional preferred experience: 2 years in Quality Control
• Communication skills must be at a high level in order to clearly communicate issues/problems of the process.
• Interfacing with a computerized process monitoring system requires knowledge and skills in the areas of computer navigation.

Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices: Examines items for defects in materials, work and damage occurring in transit.
