Come read reports for a growing national teleradiology company currently recruiting for an imaging diagnostic specialty. The reading physician operates independently in the Imaging Interpretation Service under the guidance of leading field experts and a Medical Advisory Board. The Imaging Interpretation Service is a busy department that performs various diagnostic interpretations for independent contractors. The selected reading physician s scope of practice includes but is not limited to:

A basic skill set including general radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and basic interventional would be ideal. Sub-specialty skills are appreciated and would enhance the department and services.

Work Schedule:The radiologist will be scheduled for three weeks of AM shifts followed by a single PM shift. Shift rotation repeats throughout the entire year.

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized

Qualifications
Education

Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:

• Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or
• Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.

For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met the requirements for certification and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate if claimed by the applicant. Position Summary:

In this role the registered Radiologist will examine images and videos uploaded to Tricefy remotely.

They will document findings as reported by our ADRMS registered technicians.

With a 24 hour turn around, Radiologists are expected to provide a detailed report and send this via DICOM to the healthcare providers that referred.

Verifying and maintaining patient records with the ability to document medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.

Give constructive criticism to our technicians ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images correctly,evaluating the images for their quality and interpreting the captured images.

Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team for appropriate patient care management.

Position Summary

With radiologist supervision, the radiologist assistant will be expected to appropriately review the medical record and perform all services related to gastrointestinal fluoroscopy in the outpatient and inpatient settings including Upper GI/ esophagrams, assessment of pelvic floor, enemas, cytograms, fistulo-/loopo-grams and modified barium swallow exams in conjunction with speech pathology services. In-depth, comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate by supervising radiologists in conjunction with our excellent radiologist-assistant (4+ years experience at Cornell). No interventional procedures are performed by our group.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to consultation requests from referring physicians. Perform outreach and arrange for participation in selected clinical services or clinics and inpatient units to assist in real-time delivery of care in multi-disciplinary settings.
• Collect, organize and summarize clinical data and supporting materials and presents to sub-specialty radiologist. Work closely with radiologist to develop imaging plan. Document and assist in communicating plan to referring physician and to the patient.
• Schedule and coordinate consultation between patients and radiologists. Assist in scheduling complex imaging cases which require the presence of the Radiologist during exam.
• Monitors imaging cases which may require direct supervision by Radiologist Assistant to ensure A) optimal imaging outcome; and B) to allow for targeted imaging during the exam.

Summary/Objective

A radiologist assistant is an advanced-level radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to enhance patient care by assisting the radiologist in the diagnostic imaging environment. The radiologist assistant is an ARRT-certified radiographer who has successfully completed an advanced academic program. This position performs daily fluoroscopy procedures and approves final reports of studies performed.

Essential Functions

• Performs fluoroscopy procedures, including, but not limited to: Upper GI, Small Bowel Follow Through, Barium/Gastrografin Enemas, T Tube Cholangiogram, Cystograms, Bariatric procedures.
• Prepare final reports and reviews films with Radiologist for final approval.
• Computer and medical equipment proficiency
• Monitoring next-day workloads to assure procedure assignments.
• Coordinating with scheduling coordinator to maintain proper flow of procedures.
• Support Interventional Radiology clinic with patient follow up and chart documentation.
